I'm Dr. Naga Venkateswara Rao Nulakani, a postdoctoral research associate deeply committed to scientific exploration. At Khalifa University of Science and Technology, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), I'm currently immersed in the captivating realm of atmospheric reactions involving small molecules, seeking to uncover crucial environmental insights. My scientific journey has been a thrilling odyssey, marked by impactful collaborations and discoveries. In Prof. T. J. Dhilip Kumar's group at the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, I honed my expertise in crafting advanced anode materials for batteries, focusing on carbon-based 2D materials and their heterojunctions. These materials, including graphene and borophene lateral heterostructures (GBLHs), demonstrated remarkable properties, making them promising candidates for Li-ion batteries. During my post-doctoral fellowship at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) in Shenzhen, China, I explored the magnetic phase stability of CrI3 bilayers in the presence of diverse two-dimensional ferroelectric materials. I also ventured into the intriguing world of Moiré patterns using Cr-based ferromagnetic bilayers, shedding light on the nuances of two-dimensional magnetism. In my doctoral journey, I designed and characterized several stable 2D graphynes, introducing semimetallic features, linear band dispersion, Dirac points, and more into the realm of novel carbon allotropes. I also delved into their electronic behavior under various influences, contributing significantly to our understanding of these materials. Furthermore, I had the privilege of collaborating with Tata Steel Ltd., where we designed novel cationic collectors, greatly enhancing iron ore beneficiation from complex slum ponds. With a solid foundation in computational materials science, I have authored 13 research papers and possess proficiency in various computational software programs. I'm enthusiastic about my role in addressing scientific challenges and pushing the boundaries of discovery in multidisciplinary research projects.

My background is in space plasma physics, studying the ways in which plasma from the Sun influences and interacts with near-Earth environment. I am primarily focused on theoretical modeling and data analysis.
